Response #2 Travel

Travel is one of the most common answers of people when they are interviewed about their hobbies. It is obvious that people often go traveling in vacation for relaxation, but what they are learned after each journey is much more important.
Take my own experience to illustrate my view. When I was younger, because of curiosity, I tended to go abroad to discover the other culture, cuisine and tradition of the developed countries. I witnessed things which I had never seen in my home country, learned how to use the high technique equipment as well as enjoyed the famous destinations of each country I visited. I can say I became more mature after each trip and travel has actually broadened my view.
Before leaving home to be here, some friends of mine advised me that I should make a trip to the remote areas inside Vietnam to gain the deeply awareness of life. Following their foot steps, I scheduled a 3 days-trip to a mountainous area, where electricity was something luxurious. Life here was self-supporting , absolutely opposite with the life in big city. People started to work before dawning and did not come home till sunset. They did farming without any help of modern machine. Additionally, there was almost no recreation there, they just sometimes gathered, drank alcohol and then went to bed. Children or even adults were illiterate and they got married at the age of 13. But the most surprised thing to me is no matter what difficulty in life they face to, they still maintain the optimistic outlook. The weather there is harsh, but day in day out they come to the farm, without any complaint. For me, this is surely a meaningful trip because I recognized that how lucky I am, and life is not always smooth for every one.
P/S : I know it is absolutely a boring paragraph 'cuz it looks like an essay ^^ , but whatever, thank you for reading.

Response #1

My name is Jojo, I have been in the US for about one month so this is my first semester in CSUF. Before coming here, I lived and worked in Ho Chi Minh City-Vietnam. I love traveling and I've already  visited Japan, Thailand. Japan is so famous for spectacular Fuji mountain and the gorgeous sights in the Sakura season while what I love in Thailand is their cuisine. I've learned so many interesting things, gone through new experiences after each journey.
I am a pharmacist and my goal in the US is to gain a marketing certificate in order to have the good preparation for my career prospect. American's lifestyle is interesting me a lot. It's big different from the lifestyle in my home country. I must learn as well as change my habit to integrate with people here. It takes time but I will try my best.
I am the oldest sibling in my family, my sister is an international student in Orange Coast College and my little brother is an sophomore of HoChiMinh City University of Architecture in Vietnam. When I have free time, I often go shopping, watching drama or even watching English Soccer, I'm a big fan of Manchester United.
